hey, hey, hey and as the star said: WELCOME TO HEAVEN... or our heaven at least – A website for our zine thats for our SCENE here in Charlotte, North Carolina! We here at ☆7 are focused on weird, experimental, and new art found in the underground DIY and highlight what we like through our main series zines. Collaged from the mole skins of local weirdos, dedicated to promoting their voices and forming a community around it all.
The zine was created and is run by Alonso Morning. It came into existence in a tattered composition notebook on a whim and was molded by an alternative taste in music, a basic grasp on graphic design fundamentals, and a love for DIY. The website is also created and maintained by Alonso Morning and came to be in a very similar fashion as the zine.
We're here to provide new creatives and ideas with a platform to experiment with their art form free from capitalist & people-pleasing worries that can restrict creative freedom. Our goal is to create a supportive underground community and to inspire YOU to create, contribute, and collaborate. Read it, use it, draw in it, show it some love, keep it by your desk, rip out pages and pin em to the wall for inspo, or just pass it on to somebody who'd like it.
Now as for the website; we plan on giving more timely updates to what we're working on, blog-like updates on shows and events and showcase some of our earlier issues to read for the free :0 This is place will be constantly changing and just like the roads here– always under construction! so tune back in every now and then to see whats new ;v
Got a weird piece of something that hasn’t found a home yet? The kind that makes people go ''huh'' and ''I should put this back where I found it.'' Then email it to us, ya lil freak! If it can be printed, we’ll take it. Please know that not all submissions will be included, but all will be appreciated
